The Greek Jewish Community has a long history in Athens.  An archeological evidence of Jewish presence in Greece is a 300-250 B.C.E. inscription from Attica, we believe that the Jewish community in Athens is older and they are several urban legends about that.
Through our exploration we are trying to reconstruct, the existence of the community since antiquity, medieval era, during the national revolution, their excistence in the new Greek State,  the Holocaust and we'll try to  connect the excistensce of the community in present
We'll explore the neighborhoods where they lived, we ll talk about the special customs of Romaniot (Greek) Jewish, we visit the old Jewish Cemetery, the two synagogues, we finish our exploration in a Kosher restaurant

Κυριακάτικη βόλτα στην ανοιξιάτικη Αθήνα με την Πάολα. Μια πόλη που δεν γνωρίζουμε και δεν αγαπάμε όσο θα της έπρεπε.
 Ξεκινήσαμε από την πλατεία Εξαρχείων που πια δεν έχει γρασίδι και παγκάκια, κάπου εκεί συναντήσαμε μέσα απο την διήγηση της Πάολα το Νικόλα, την Κατερίνα και τον Παύλο, το υπόγειο που στέγασε την ΑΚΟΕ, τα κτίρια που προστάτευσαν τους κυνηγημένους απο τις πορείες το αγαπημένο της διαμέρισμα κάπου στη Νοταρά,
 
Στην Ομόνοια "συναντήσαμε" τους φαντάρους, τα τεκνά και τα τσόλια. Tο Μάνο με τη Νοταρά στο γαλατάδικο, τους πάγκους των κυριακάτικων εφημερίδων που οι Αθηναίοι αγόραζαν το ξημέρωμα του Σαββάτου  Στην Αθηνάς και στου Ψυρρή τα σημεία συνάντησης των ερώτων, Η Αθήνα πια δεν είναι μια ερωτική πόλη μας είπε η Πάολα και δεν έχει καν μεταλλαχτεί σε κάτι ζωντανό και έχει δίκιο, αναθαρήσαμε ομως λίγο περνώντας από την πλατεία Θεάτρου και τη Μενάνδρου εκεί που οι μυρωδιές από τα ινδικά, αραβικά και πακιστανικά μαγαζιά μαζί με ένα πολύχρωμο πλήθος κρατάνε την πόλη μακριά από την απόλυτη αποστείρωση.  Tasos is a street worker with 10 years of personal experience in the streets.
He was one of the founding members of the Social Street Work project of Emfasis Foundation. 
He took part in the first Training for the Trainers of Dynamo International - Street Workers Network in Lisbon at 2013.
Since September 2015 he is one of the Founders of Gefyra/The Bridge, a non-profit organization, which approaches indiscriminately -via its social street work and social economy- people living in the street. People in Gefyra/The Bridge, aim at improving the everyday lives of homeless people in Athens by increasing their visibility, defending their rights, giving them voice as well as supporting them practically on their everyday lives. 
Tasos is also a trainer for the new members at the Street Work Project and a manager of Outreach Team Work Project. 
Following Tasos you will learn about the difficulties that homeless people face, the impact of the economic and refugee crisis but you will also have lots of fun and a unique experience of how locals have fun and spent their night. With Tasos you will be introduced to the vibrant Athenian spirit by exploring the most “hidden” places in Athens, such as authentic restaurants, cool industrial-designed bars and coffee shops that only locals know in Metaxourgeio, Gazi and Kerameikos
